Project Utgardr is an adventure, parkour and puzzle solving game in an old and far land. Based on exploration and Nordic mythology... A young woman, Thyra, lives in a village near ancient mountains during the First Viking age. One day the girl will find a vertical crack on a facade of a mount never seen before. Curious about, she will slip into it and shortly after, behind her, the passage will collapse...An ancient road, through rocks and uncontaminated nature, could lead to an exit from these mountains... or even somewhere else? Mystery, dangers and adventure will be just a taste, in addition to the numerous Nordic altars, to discover an archaic secret concerning a place lost in the myth... Utgardr the ancient fortress!ADVENTURE AND EXPLORATIONIn search of an escape from the mountains, you will have to explore various types of zones in order to proceed. Overcoming rocks or other natural obstacles such as trees or ledges and paying attention to the territory or particular marks left on the way, will make you to stay alert in the present.PARKOURThyra will use her parkour skills to avoid or overcome various obstacles such as lopsided rocks, fallen trees, pillars suspended in the void. She could move by crouching, walking and running, climbing, wall running on certain types of rock, climbing and lateral climbing on walls covered with foliage. PUZZLE SOLVINGThe puzzle solving component will be very important. In fact, these puzzles will activate natural events that will allow an escape route or the continuation of the main path. The puzzles refer to elements of the Nordic mythology, namely mainly altars and Menhirs. Roughly used as places of worship for the population, as places for offerings or prayers or simply to "mark" a point of the territory.MYSTERYMystery is a "permeating" part of the adventure. There won't be too many "do this or go there" guidance. A lot of space will be left to the inventiveness of the human being, who will have to find a way to put together the various data and clues that she/he will find.NORDIC MYTHOLOGYHere we enter in one of the cornerstones of the game. Based completely on it, the Nordic mythology will be applied in various aspects of the game, from the dialogues, to the runes engraved in stone, to the interaction with "typical" objects of this culture.
